EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT AND PERIOD
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Farra Engineering and confirm your
employment with effect from 10th September 2018. This letter sets out the terms and conditions of
your employment . Your employment with Farra will endure for an initial period of TEN (10) YEARS and it
is subject to renewal after every 10 years period.
REMUNERATION
Your initial basic salary will be 19,550 NZD (Nineteen Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty New Zealand

EMPLOYMENT DUTIES
The following conditions of employment apply: You will report to Grant Macmillan (Corporate HR

permitted to do so in writing by Grant Macmillan (Corporate HR Director).You must be true and faithful
to Farra in all dealings and transactions relating to the business and interest of Farra and to use your

the whole of your time and attention during working hours and such additional time as the exigencies of

training and experience or occupations capabilities of yourself and that you shall not suffer any loss of
remuneration or status for work performed on subsidiary tasks.
You undertake to carry out all such functions and duties as are from time to time assigned to you and as
are reasonable or lawful; obey and comply with all lawful and reasonable instructions given to you by
your superior; submit to the management or to any person nominated by management such
information and reports as may be required of you in connection with the performance of your duties
and the business of Farra.
HOURS OF WORK
Your working hours shall be between the hours of (0830hrs to 1630hrs), Monday to Friday. You will be
entitled to a lunch break of one (1) hour which is to be taken between (1300hrs to 1500hrs).
NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
Either you or Farra will be entitled to terminate your employment on written notice given to the other
party, as follows: If you have been employed for twelve (12) weeks or less, either party is required to
give the other party one (1) week written notice. If you have been employed for more than twelve (12)
weeks, but not more than one (1) year, either party is required to give two (2) weeks written notice.If
you have been employed for more than one (1) year, either party is required to give four (4) weeks
written notice.
ANNUAL LEAVE AND SICK LEAVE
You will be entitled to 30 Days consecutive annual leave on full remuneration in respect of each annual
leave cycle (which means the period of twelve (12) months immediately following commencement of
your employment).
You will be entitled to Two (2) weeks sick leave during every twelve (12) months of employment.
However during your first six (6) months of employment you are entitled to one (1) day paid sick leave
for every twenty-six (26) days worked. If you are absent from work for three (3) consecutive days or
more you are required to produce a medical certificate which must be signed by a medical practitioner
or any other person who is certified to diagnose and treat patients and who is registered with the
professional council established by an act of Parliament.
Should you at any time become permanently unable, in the reasonable opinion of the Farra
management, to perform your duties adequately by reason of ill health, Farra will be entitled to
terminate your employment on such terms as Farra, in its sole discretion, considers reasonable. All

employees will receive 2.5% of their annual salary as sick leave benefits payable if employee did not
embark on sick leave for a period of one annual cycle (12 months).
GROUP LIFE INSURANCE

TRAINING
You hereby consent to undergo such training as may be prescribed by Farra from time to time.
SECURITY
Farra security regulations will be observed by you and may at the discretion of Farra be varied from time
to time. You will not unlawfully possess any substance, article or thing which is the property of Farra or
of any employee of Farra.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND CHECK:
You are to complete attestation, biometric and personal background check through the New Zealand
department of home affairs.
If the personal background check indicates any record of serious criminal activity we may terminate your
employment without severance pay.
It is your responsibility to pay for the attestation, biometric and personal background check fees.
VISA, WORK PERMIT AND FLIGHT TICKET
All international employee should note that Farra shall apply and secure employment visa, work permit
and flight ticket on their behalf but they shall be responsible for providing all necessary documents

ACCOMMODATION
Farra as a matter of policy provides family accommodation to its entire employee and for maximum of
four dependents irrespective of job position. All accommodation is fully equipped with recreational
