Paul Blare is suspected to have created a fake profile in Linkedin and associated himself with GEOSEIS Inc. (http://www.geoseis.ca/). He attempts to lead the victims by identifying himself as Executive Vice President at "GeoSeis Energy" and this leads to a dubious website (http://geoseisenergy.com/page_5d118b96.php.html) with his name listed as one of the senior management team. GEOSEIS Inc. and GeoSeis Energy is not related in any way.
The scam processes as below:
1) Scammer targets his victims through Linkedin via messaging and offer a "business proposal", and asked for the victim's email. (Victim is lead to believe the scammer is an executive officer at a respectable company). Linkedin messaging as below:
Hello Victim,
I came across your profile and was very impressed with your background. Wanted to reach out and see if you were interested in hearing more about a business proposal. If you are, get back to me with your email address for more details.

2) Victim responded with interest and shares his email with the scammer.
3) Scammer drops first email to victim using paul.blare65@gmail.com:
Dear Victim,
Thank you for your response. My company GeoSeis Energy is in need for the services of a reliable person for a supply contract of international agent. Following this quest for a competent individual who can handle a one year contract project at GeoSeis Energy for the supply of "XANTHAN Fluid" from the manufacturers to Indonesia, I would like to recommend you for this position. For a little insight, this is a one year contract supply with possible extension after the completion of first year. The product name is XANTHAN Fluid. This product is a high molecular weight polysaccharide produced by viscous fermentation. We are looking for a reliable individual for a one year contract as our international agent to supply this product to the GeoSeis Energy project for the onshore projects in Indonesia. Note: Your experience and qualification in Oil & Gas is not necessary as the company will arrange special training program to enhance your knowledge towards the given task. Your duty as an agent is to ensure and maintain a steady communication process with the manufacturing company and make sure they deliver the product at the appropriate time.
